CREATION OF SHIPBUILDING DOCKYARD ON THE BASIS OF SHIP REPAIR AND SHIPBUILDING COMPANY “SAGA ATASH” LLC
ABOUT THE PROJECT.
For develop the company “Saga Atash” and expand the technical possibility of production in the future is being implemented the project of creating a new dockyard on the base the existing ship repair company. The purpose of this project is to radically reconstruct and modernize the technical base of the Kazakh ship repair company “Saga Atash”, and to create a modern shipbuilding dockyard on its basis.
At the moment “Saga Atash” with the assistance of its German partners, has moved to the first phase of this project - to projection of a new production. The project works carry out by the German company Ingenieurtechnik und Maschinenbau Gmbh (IMG mbh).
The creation of a shipbuilding dockyard includes
Economic justification
1) The implementation of the project will provide a repair base for all vessels of Kazakhstan in the water area of the Caspian Sea at a modern high technological level. The presence of such a dockyard will significantly reduce the cost of shipowners for logistics, as today they are forced to repair and service their vessels in the dockyards of other countries. In addition, this will allow shipowners to pay for repair and maintenance of ships in national currency.
2) The presence a modern dockyard on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan will make it possible to build vessels of any size and purpose, including vessels for oil and gas production, for defense needs. Wherein, the entire production cycle is located in Kazakhstan, payments for works and services are made in national currency, all work is provided by national labor resources.
3) Participation in the project of foreign partners - the German company ABEKING & RASMUSSEN Naval GmbH, which has 100 years of experience in the construction of vessels and ships, will attract modern technologies and raise the qualification of its own personnel to a modern international level.
4) The dockyard will be able to build and service ships for other states, which will ensure the inflow of foreign currency into the country.
Location
For the construction of this dockyard, the most convenient place on the entire coast of Kazakhstan is the natural bay Bautino in the Gulf of Tupkaragan. Its uniqueness is due to the special configuration of the coastline and the presence of all necessary infrastructure for the construction of the dockyard. Currently “SAGA Atash” LLC is located there - the only Kazakh company that has its own base in the Caspian Sea that carries out ship repair and maintenance.
